Flash stuck at 34 percent
Uptodown users described a flash that ran almost a day, then an error, then a reinstall that sat at 34 percent. A long bar is not always a crash. A frozen bar with a spinning icon for a long time is a stall.
If the phone is in DFU, do not yank USB as your first move. You can leave the device in a half-written state.
- Watch the firmware download line. Multiple Flash will fetch IPSW if it is missing. A stall during download is not the same as a stall during write.
- Keep the stock USB cable on a rear USB port. Hubs drop iOS devices mid-write.
- If progress has not changed for more than 30 minutes after write started, close only the flash dialog, reconnect, and read the mode (Normal, Recovery, DFU).
- Retry on the same port with the already-imported firmware. Do not start Deep Clean unless you accepted a wipe.
- If the phone stays on a White Apple or bootloop, use the DFU rescue path and keep a Finder restore as a last resort.

Backup before flash
Softonic comments include people who lost data, kept a backup, and still sat in a bootloop. Retain Data is not a promise.
Make the desktop backup first. Copy photos and contacts out separately if those files matter most.
- Connect the device on the home readout and confirm it is trusted.
- Open Backup/Restore and run a full desktop backup. Wait until the job reports finished.

- Only then open Easy Flash or Pro Flash. Choose Retain Data if you need user files. Choose Deep Clean if you intend a wipe.

Window cut off on Windows 10 or 11
The developer’s March 2026 note says a clipped 3uTools window is usually display scaling, not a broken install.
- Right-click an empty spot on the desktop and open Display settings.
- On Windows 10, under Scale and layout, set scaling to 100% (Recommended).
- On Windows 11, under Scale and layout, set Scale to 100% (Recommended).
- Sign out or reboot if the client was already open, then launch 3uTools again.

USB drivers and firmware writers trip heuristic engines. A 9.08.006 catalog scan was marked Clean. That does not mean every copy on the web is the same file.
- Confirm the file name matches the version you wanted, such as 3uTools_V9.08.006.exe for that hash.
- Compare SHA256 with the verification panel when a hash exists.
- Allow that one installer in your antivirus quarantine. Do not disable the product for all of C:.
- If the hash does not match, delete the file.
How to identify the Mac chip
- Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner and choose About This Mac.
- Read Processor or Chip. Choose the Intel build or the Apple Silicon build of V9.07.
- Right-click the installer package and select Open if Gatekeeper blocks the first launch.
Install the iOS client from the PC app
The developer says the phone app is installed through the desktop client, not a separate store listing.
- Install Windows or Mac 3uTools from the download desk.
- Open the PC client and connect the device with a USB cable.
- Wait for automatic mobile-app install, or click Install Mobile App yourself.
Used-device check
Before cash moves, connect the phone and read the verification fields. Look at battery cycles, IMEI, Apple ID Lock, activation, and refurbished or storage-upgrade flags. Export the report image if the seller wants a receipt.
